Lots of children dream of having a friendship with a horse. So it was no surprise when Mirabelle and Liliana began showing an interest in these amazing animals. As former “horse people”, Rebecca and I could definitely understand the desire to connect with these wonderful creatures. But having horses in your life is a huge responsibility. So we waited to see if the interest lasted.
For years the girls nurtured their love of horses. They took lessons. They met and connected with horses. They drew horses. They made hobby horses. Sometimes it felt as if they lived and breathed “horsey-ness”! But horses are also a big financial investment. It seemed like horses might forever be out of reach. So the girls saved up. Baby sitting money. Odd jobs they did for neighbors. Birthday and Christmas money gifts from relatives. Crafting horse cards (under the name Peace. Love. Horses.) and hobby horses to sell. And over the years, they saved enough to bring horses within reach.
Now we have a barn and grounds ready for a horse. The next step? The horse itself! This is where each of you can be part of this dream.
