It was great to hear about your early adventures in Hawaii! The lack of technology can be a gift and a burden at the same time. I just read Mark Boyle’s book, “The Way Home” about his year of living without modern technology and it was very thought-provoking. He too wrestled with the never-ending to-do list, only his wasn’t driven by crazy bureaucratic things like car registrations. Nevertheless, he made time for the conversation with a neighbor; most things can wait a bit. When your work depends on some technology (like videos, podcasts, and the internet to broadcast them) it’s a little different. Hopefully, you’ll be hooked up enough soon to be able to do your communication work, but we’re a patient bunch of followers (I hope). Congrats on 30 episodes…they’ve been very enjoyable, relatable, and inspirational!
Thanks Becky! We haven’t read that book — something we should check out it sounds like! We’re hoping to have better internet within about two weeks, which will make a big difference in being able to get videos going again, and the podcasts will follow soon after. There is much to share!!!
Big love,
Kenton =)
These podcasts have been so enjoyable! Sometimes it’s a challenge to find a quiet half hour to just listen but so worthwhile and refreshing. Sometimes thought provoking!
I like to think I’m not as dependent on technology as some but I think I would be quite lost without it! I’m glad you’ve found people to be friendly and helpful and I hope that continues to be the case.
I’m looking forward to the next video and the next podcast and hoping you soon have enough technology available to make your continued communication with your worldwide ohana easier!
Thanks Maude — it looks like within two weeks we will have our technological “voice” back via regular internet. We’ll have many stories to share with everyone!!
Love and aloha,
K and R =)
