Unleash Your Life Episode 7, Passive Outflow

We're taught to be mostly concerned with what is flowing IN to our lives, but what if we equally celebrate what is flowing OUT from us to the world? Join Kenton and Rebecca in an exploration of a concept Rebecca created: Passive Outflow.

Here are this episode’s Action Points:

Smile — Realize that science is showing that the simple act of smiling releases positive brain chemicals. Try using smiles as an entrance into a happier state of mind, and since they are very “catching”, see if you can spread them around you. They’ll pass from person to person, changing everyone’s brain chemistry along the way! =)

Namaste — You can “namaste” people silently if you like, without the prayer-like gesture. Or do it gesture and all! Either way, taking on the “namaste” attitude toward people means you treat them better, which means that they treat other people better, which means those people treat other people better . . . you get the point!

Write a Letter — A dying art, writing a letter is a great way to tell someone you care, and it’s a gift that naturally outflows passively, because we tend to keep and value letters much more than texts or emails.

Listen — Today, take the time to TRULY listen to someone. We recently did a video on this that can help you get started!

  1. “If you smile at me I will understand
    ‘Cause that is something everybody
everywhere does in the same language”
Crosby, Stills and Nash— “Wooden Ships”

    Another great podcast!
I’ve been getting the Good News Network in my inbox every morning for a few weeks now. Starting the day with uplifting stories is so much better than the other “news”
I know I’m not always the best listener, but it really bugs me when your having a conversation with someone and suddenly they whip out their phone to check email or start reading a text they just got. To me, that’s just rude.
I think a whole podcast on Namaste would worthwhile.

    1. Hi Rob! Well, believe it or not, we finished recording an episode on Namaste just three days ago. It won’t come out for about a month, but it’s on the way!!!
So glad you’re taking in the GNN! Definitely a great way to bring positivity into one’s life!

      Love,
      Kenton and Rebecca =)
